So sorta of happy for the diagnosis but secretly who wants to be in THIS MUCH PAIN! Definitely not me! So I'm working on developing some roll-on's to help me w/the pain in my lower back, tingling hands and feet, loss of circulation, muscle cramps, and more! I'm still going to be hosting my DIY classes which I'm not sure if I announced here or not but I recently started doing DIY classes online to share my passion of essential oils and simplicity living with the world! I am really enjoying the easiness of it all w/the oils and simple ingredients! Plus its all gluten free and toxic free! If you're on periscope make sure you're following me at TravelLaughLove!
I'm participating in a walk to raise awareness and possibly a cure for Fibromyalgia! Join me or donate: https://www.crowdrise.com/lynn-nyccaterpillarwalk/fundraiser/TravelLaughLove
Until next time! Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09178766540857650698noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1316909528938961383.post-54914263259551728382015-12-23T06:52:00.003-08:002015-12-23T06:53:07.823-08:00Cruise Do's & DON'T'sWe just got back from our Royal Caribbean Cruise on Anthem of the Sea this SATURDAY and I have mostly complaints! 1. They did not have almost any new options for "GOOD" Gluten Free & Dairy free options...the same baking soda tasting bread (there are so many better mixes out now), 2. They did not have any gluten free beer onboard the ship (at any of the bars, etc), 3. Some of my dinners took over 1 hour to be prepared and my food allergies/sensitivities were given MONTHS in advance, 4. Desserts were scarce and I have taken many cruises w/them and back in 2010 when we went on my honeymoon cruise the desserts were a lot better! They definitely need someone to direct them in their ongoing options for gluten & dairy free individuals as there are MANY! Also they need to improve upon their communication on and OFF the ship as this was very poorly lacking! I'd be happy to be their Gluten Free Dairy Free consultant if they asked! Just saying ;-)

We did LOVE their trivia, great staff members who actively tried with what they had (they just didn't have much), and we loved our balcony room! I hope in the future they will improve and if we take another cruise with them they will have an active list of requests so it can start feeling like a vacation! (As a Gluten Free Dairy Free Foodie who does tours are NYC I expect massive options and on a cruise everyone else but those with food allergies gets them...this desperately needs to be FIXED) Thank you!
I personally can't drink anything with apples in it but my hubby LOVED IT! The beer was different from most Gluten Free beer I've had since I tend to stick to Redbridge and a few others but definitely starts out bitter with an awesome smell of olives (I LOVE olives). After a few sips the bitterness slightly goes away, I think this beer reminds me of a pale ale back in my college beer drinking days! I would recommend this to anyone looking for that type of taste that also happens to be Gluten Free (Celiac, AutoImmune reasons for a Gluten Free Diet, or Gluten Intolerant! I definitely like that it's a home-brew and more and more people are making awesome Gluten Free beer! Sometimes Gluten free beer won't fizz up all the way but this one passed the test! Overall I would give it 4 out of 5 as I'm not a HUGE fan of bitter beers but it did calm down a bit after the first sip and it is fully Gluten Free! I love how the owner uses a different method than most when making this gluten free beer. My hubby can't stop raving about the Hard Apple Cider so I think that gets a 5 out of 5! I recently talked to the owner of Totally FUCD UP and he provided his inspiration for me: <span style="background-color: #e1e8ed; color: #292f33; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12px; white-space: pre-wrap;"> He was diagnosed with a gluten intolerance a few months ago and as an aspiring Brewer, he realized most of the GF beer is really bad...and most use a chemical to remove the gluten but <span style="background-color: #e1e8ed; color: #292f33; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12px; white-space: pre-wrap;">he researched GF grains...found a maker in Boulder, CO that supplied and decided to buy some of everything he offered...plus some extra stuff he found locally..GOTTA love buying local...so he <span style="background-color: #e1e8ed; color: #292f33; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12px; white-space: pre-wrap;">got this beer over 9% which he had never seen GF beer go there!
I know I promised to do more blogposts and have really been slacking! But today I want to talk about a really important topic and that's explaining CROSS-CONTAMINATION to your loved ones so they don't just think you're nuts...as I'll be honest sometimes my older sister thinks I am! Yes almost any food sensitivity/autoimmune response can be caused from cross contamination and no one wants to intentionally get us sick right? But they need to fully understand just how sick we can get from using the same pan's they've used for something we can't have...even cleaning it 100 times can't get rid of that exposure. Just look at this article on Cross Contamination! So this year when you're trying to not get sick and really fully enjoy the holidays just send them a link to this article and get ready to have a sense of calm come over you so they can finally understand just how REAL Cross-Contamination is!

Another big issue around the holidays includes making our favorite dishes into Gluten Free options and I'm about to create an E-book over the next month with some of my favorite recipes...done up the Gluten Free Way so look for that! In the meantime I always recommend visiting www.GFJules.com for amazing Gluten Free recipes and I know I'll be making this on Wednesday http://gfjules.com/recipes/easy-as-pie-pumpkin-pie-no-crust-needed/

Enjoy your Thanksgiving if you celebrate (and you're in the US) and I'll be back next month with a lot more great blogposts for you...plus 2016 my biggest goal is to WRITE more!

Until then XOXO!Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09178766540857650698noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1316909528938961383.post-74022938973422214432015-10-06T09:08:00.001-07:002015-10-06T09:08:24.722-07:00Post GFAF Expo (NJ) Summary with some amazing Gluten Free FINDS!Well this weekend was AWESOME! Normally I just waver around the entire incredibly awesome Expo full of over 100 vendors just meeting people and getting extra delicious yummy GF food but this year I'm working on gaining more partnerships and building better relationships with Gluten Free and healthy living brands so I can improve my gluten free tours and get my gluten free coaching off the ground FINALLY! I just finished being the assistant for The Wellness Lounge where I did all the social media and being the ongoing support for all vendors until the day of the event. The event went amazingly! I love event planning! Back to the GFAF Expo, I'd love to meet up with anyone that's reading my blog or if you have a favorite vendor that'll be there feel free to post their name below! <3 guys="" love="" next="" p="" post="" the="" until="" you=""></3>Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09178766540857650698noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1316909528938961383.post-65326570398221373942015-08-26T06:12:00.002-07:002015-08-26T06:12:43.925-07:00CDF's and feeling good!Hey everyone!

I decided I am going to try to post on this blog every week so I can keep better track of my life and my current CDF (Core-Desired-Feelings) which totally are feeling supported, accomplished, happy, and relaxed. What are yours? Feel free to leave them in the comments section! I am definitely feeling very much supported by watching and interacting on periscope esp. Courtney Johnston's scopes! I just added my opt-in so I'm feeling somewhat accomplished as I've been looking up ways to do it for months and now I finally did it even though its not going to go straight to mail chimp like I had wanted...better done than not! I am very happy to have this freedom in my life even though I could definitely use a part time job (volunteer coordinator, event planning/social media, or tutor/nanny) if anyone knows of something up to 25 or so hrs a week let me know! I am buying notebooks this week so I can start feeling much more relaxed and start being more organized and do journaling in the mornings! I can't wait to hear all of your CDF's! Make sure you're following me on periscope at CleanLiving!Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09178766540857650698noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1316909528938961383.post-14800567163262093892015-08-26T06:11:00.000-07:002015-08-26T06:11:19.461-07:00New Home and back to BLOGGINGI'm returning to blogging to chronicle my brand new beginning moving into our FOREVER HOME in Wood-Ridge, NJ! I am sure many of you have heard of Essential Oils either
online or when you go into a Health Foods Store. But what exactly are they and why are some so
cheap and others so EXPENSIVE!

Essential Oils are Non water-based phytochemicals made up of
volatile aromatic compounds. Although
they are fat soluble, they do not include fatty lipids or acids found in
vegetable and animal oils. Essential oils are very clean, almost crisp, to the
touch and are immediately absorbed by the skin. Pure, unadulterated essential
oils are translucent and range in color from crystal clear to deep blue.

You can use Essential Oils both : A-Aromatically (in a diffuser or a drop on
your hand and cupping it to inhale) Think Diffuser, T-Topically (put them on
your reflexology points and get a great benefit)

The differences between Essential Oils you find in stores
that are very cheap are things:

find really cheap Essential Oils more than likely they are not really 100% pure

because of consistent purity and reliability is DoTERRA! DoTERRA Essential Oils even have some
Essential Oils that can be ingested because it is that pure.

Sorry its been so long since my last post...I've been unmotivated to write in this blog since I'm already writing in my 3 facebook business pages! Well anyways I had my 1st Gluten Free Tour on Monday April 8th! It was so fabulous! We met at The Union Square Whole Foods and the rest is magic! We took a total of 2 buses and went to a bunch of restaurants, bakeries, and Gluten Free shops! I even realized me and the tour attendees were connected someway. Its funny what a small world we live in!

It was definitely one of the best days I've had in awhile.
Based on one of my favorite books I read over a year ago and my current
studies at IIN (The Institute for Integrative Nutrition) to be a Health
Coach, I am going to make monthly goals and hold myself accountable for
the positive things that comes along! Find your happiness and the rest
is easy!

January- Get my book finished and ready to be
published! Since it is basically already finished and just needs some
proofreading and editing...then I just need to get accepted by a
Literary Coach!

February- Finally get my book published. Get
more intune with my meditation practice (its lacking in concentration),
Go out to at least 2 networking events, and meet people I can later take
on as Clients (New Mom's, Children and people with Food Allergies,
Young Professionals, and Kosher Young Professionals). I will also be
celebrating my Genuine Girlfriends group's 2 Year Anniversary!

March- Build up my College Wellness Festival (for the end of April) and
My Health coaching practice (for May) Plus make my husband's 31st
birthday absolutely as amazing as he is!

April- Finish the
finishing touches of my Wellness Festival for college students! The
perfect chance to show college students you can have fun and be healthy
too!

May- I intend to have at least 5 clients to start this
month with so as long as I have that and can hold sessions I will be
very happy! I will also be enjoying myself towards the end of this
month and head to CA for my 30th Birthday!

June- Continue seeing clients and start my Mastermind group!

July- Really enjoy summer and of course see more clients! I want to master building Sand Castles!

August- Do something special for my husband every week just to show him
how much I appreciate him! Plus I want to incorporate a beach trip or
two into Genuine Girlfriends!

September- I intend to learn new skills to bring my health coaching up a level and give the most to my clients! (Ayurvedic)
I will update the other months very soon! It came out the way I like it w/soft chewy crust but it seems to be way too doughy inside! Although I would recommend this against some other mixes!
I used Lucini Marinara w/Basil and Garlic along with Daiya Cheese! This pizza was also topped with Asparagus that was previously cooked in the oven w/garlic and coconut oil.

I give this a 3 out of 5.
Today I'm going to do a post about my favorite and NOT so favorite bars!

I really have been getting into the brand NuGo Nutrition. They have great bars. My two favorites are: Mint Chocolate and Carrot Cake...all simply delicious and pretty healthy!

I also really like Lara bars as their ingredients are very simple and overall delicious. Try the Cashew cookie and Cherry Pie!

I just tried an Original Superfood Crisp Bar from Greens Plus and will never eat it again...it contains Nova Scotia Dulse which is what gives it a very fishy taste. I did not notice that was in the ingredients...it has very impressive ingredients but the taste is what matters when you eat something so this is definitely off my list.

That's my review for now...wait for the next one and Happy Holidays everyone!

1. Mini-Pops- This is my favorite alternative to POPCORN...and believe me I was addicted to movie theater popcorn as a child. This really does taste like popcorn and it doesn't get stuck in your teeth (not as much as popcorn) and its smaller so its more fun to eat! Plus there is absolutely no corn in this! My two favorite flavors are the Atomic Salt and Bitty Butter. Both completely dairy and gluten free! http://www.myminipops.com/

2. Mulberries & Goji Berries- My favorite brand is Navita Naturals and both these are superfoods...with tons of antioxidants! I love putting Mulberries in my oatmeal sometimes and Goji berries are great in brownies! http://navitasnaturals.com/

3. Chia Pudding made with Chia Seeds & Rice Milk w/Cacao Nibs! This is just one of my favorite recipes but its so fulfilling and comforting that I had to share it! I mix a little cinnamon, vanilla, and coconut sugar and its soooooooooooooooooooooo good!

4. Izzi B's French Toast Cupcakes- Ok these aren't just a snack to me...they're an addiction! Once I found the brand at Gfree I had to have more! They are gluten and dairy free and stay fresh in the freezer for awhile! http://ibcakes.com/

5. Plentils by Enjoy Life...in Garlic Parmesan- These taste just like cheetos to me and I haven't had that in over 10 years! They are made from Lentils and do not contain any sugar! They are also free of all 8 common Allergens (yes that includes Soy Free, Gluten Free, and Dairy Free).
A great tip for manifesting is this… Instead of walking around
all day in a state of wanting. Wanting more money, wanting more love,
wanting more stuff, wanting more peace of mind - STOP - wanting can’t get you there.
Sit down for 20 minutes and instead of thinking about all the things
you WANT, put yourself into a trance and visualize already possessing
the things that you want. If you want more money, think and FEEL what it
would be like to already have that money. If you want more love, FEEL
what it would be like to already have the love that you are looking for.
If you want greater peace of mind, FEEL what it would feel like if you
already had peace of mind.
Do this for 20 minutes in the morning before you start your day. You
are actually programming your mind and your nervous system to be in a
state of being what you seek, instead of wanting what you seek.
We live in a literal Uni-verse. If you want and want and want, you
will be given more and more and more wanting. But if you take a step
back and FEEL what it’s like to already have what you want, you take
yourself OUT of wanting and program your body to already be it. If you
do this and believe you are worthy of receiving your desire, the most
miraculous things will begin showing up in your life.
Remove the limiting beliefs that say you aren’t worthy, that you
don’t deserve it and that it has to be hard. Know that as you are right
now, you are worthy of all this great stuff. Then program yourself,
program your mind, program your nervous system to be in a state of being
what you seek instead of wanting what you seek.
The magic will unfold.Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09178766540857650698noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1316909528938961383.post-39669420406990598172012-12-11T08:32:00.003-08:002012-12-11T08:32:39.683-08:00Working on my 1st BookHey everyone!!!
I'm currently working on my very first book! My book is going to be something very simple but helpful for the "normal" person that wants to get healthier! I'm currently looking for people's definitions of processed foods and what they mean to you! If you'd like to share your definitions please feel free to do so (If I use yours in my book you will be acknowledged in the book) Also I'm looking for recipes using Whole Grain Alternatives and Sugar Alternatives (Coconut Sugar, Maple Sugar, Agave, Date Sugar, etc)
If anyone knows a publisher and can connect me please let me know!

Currently I'm also working on my Opt-in Video if anyone knows someone that has experience in doing professional videos or how to add one to an IIN website please comment below or get in touch w/me!
What's your intention? Do some MEDITATION

When you take a few minutes to breathe, close your eyes, and repeat a mantra you really start to feel better! There are many guided Meditations out there that will really empower you and when you are empowered YOU ARE ready to be focused and have a fabulous day!

9. Set your alarm 15 minutes earlier

I know, I know… 15 minutes earlier you ask? Let me explain. Take this extra time to slowly wake
up. So many of us rush out of bed and throw ourselves into a hectic
morning schedule. When you rush your whole day rushes by...you never take a moment to fully enjoy yourself and you take too much for granted! Take a few deep breaths.

8. Listen to your fave song

The best way to get yourself out of a rut is to listen to your favorite song. When you
listen to a song you enjoy, your body produces chemicals to boost your
mood. A little dancing never hurt
anyone…

7. Drink a hot cup of lemon water w/a little bit of Cayenne Pepper
This little tip is SO unbelievably
great for your immune system. On their own, lemons are very acidic, but
they have an alkalizing effect on the body. Why is this important?
Cancer cells cannot grow in an alkaline environment. Go back and read
that last sentence again. SO important. Lemon water is also a natural
diuretic so it helps detox your body and keep off the bloat. If you can tolerate it try adding Cayenne pepper.
6. Use an Ionic ToothBrush and Tongue Scraper
Most of the bacteria in your mouth
actually resides on your tongue and gums, so make sure to clean your
tongue (and floss!). Also most toothbrushes don't actually get rid of all of your plaque like an Ionic Toothbrush, these are the most recommended and can stop tooth decay, cancers, and more. Now say HELLO to a healthy mouth.

5. Be grateful
Start your day off in a grateful
mindset. This will keep you in a positive mood for the entire day! This will especially help when stress
starts creeping in throughout the day, you can revert back to the list
of things you are grateful for.
4. Prepare PREPARE
Always prepare the night or day before! When I used to go to school I would always lay out my clothes the night before so I wouldn't be so stressed in the morning running to pick out clothes! By making decisions the night before such as what you’ll
wear, what you’ll eat for breakfast, and more... you can help eliminate added
stress in the morning. Lay out your clothes, if you have kids lay out
their clothes too, pack lunches, do dishes and make sure you are ready
for the next day. This is probably my favorite bit of advice!
3. Exercise really is what you make it
By exercising in the morning you jump
start your metabolism and as a result, burn more calories throughout
the day. It’ll boost your energy levels and get those endorphins
pumping. Plus, if you exercise in the morning, you can’t make up excuses
for not doing it later in the day.
2. Take a high quality Melatonin Supplement-
Melatonin is a natural hormone which
helps to control your sleep and wake cycles. By adding a Melatonin
supplement to your diet, you will better control your sleep patterns –
fall asleep faster and wake with a clear and rested mind. Melatonin
decreases as you age so it’s super important to add a supplement as this
occurs. Lack of sleep can lead to increased stress and excessive stress
can negatively affect your sleep. It’s a never ending cycle!
1. Eat a low-glycemic breakfast
As I’m sure you have all heard before,
breakfast is the most important meal of the day! If you skip breakfast,
you’re essentially telling your body to conserve energy – your
metabolism will slow down and you’ll have less energy throughout the
day. It’s also important to start choosing low-glycemic options in order
to control your blood sugar. High-glycemic foods cause your blood sugar
to sky-rocket and release a fat-storage hormone called Insulin. This
creates the ‘sugar high’ and the ‘crash’ people so often experience
after eating their meals. Some of my favorite low-glycemic breakfast ideas are Oatmeal w/bananas and coconut sugar or Granola, fruit, and Yogurt!

Try incorporating a few of
these, or better yet all of them, into your morning routine. I can
guarantee you will start noticing some improvements.Lynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09178766540857650698noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1316909528938961383.post-41847702136270612472012-11-27T08:09:00.001-08:002012-11-27T08:09:08.976-08:0030th post!Since I'm almost 30 (well in May I'll be 30) I'm making a big deal of my 30th post on my blog! So exciting!

Since Thanksgiving I've been thinking about a lot of things. I have a new favorite website that I am addicted to and just wanted to share it with all of my readers! http://www.wellandgoodnyc.com/
I'm also going to start a Juice cleanse very soon and still narrowing it down between Juice Hugger, Jill's Cleanse, and a few others! Feel free to post your favorite here!

Lately I am also addicted to Brussel Sprouts from Whole Foods! Here's the recipe I've been using to make the exact same thing:

2 cups Brussels sprouts halved

3 Tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil

2 teaspoon sea salt

Pre-heat oven to 425.

Toss all ingredients in a bowl to throughly coat.

Spread brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Roast 25 minutes or until just starting to brown.

Serve hot.

I'm also going to rave about one of my favorite monthly boxes...ECOEMI! If you haven't tried them yet google it and order a box! Its amazing and all natural!

I'm currently on the search for an amazing Night Cream...I'm really loving Sunday Riley's bionic night cream but its too expensive so I'm trying to find one that does the same thing for sensitive skin, dry with a rich feeling, smells great, and all the anti-aging benefits!
They were Pumpkin Chocolate Chip w/Cacao Nibs!

2 Cups So Delicious Pumpkin Spice Milk
2 Cups Jules Gluten Free Flour
4 Tablespoons of Coconut Nectar Sugar
1 Teaspoon of Sea Salt
1\2 cup of Enjoy Life chocolate chips
1\2 cup of Cacao Nibs
1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
1 Egg White
2 Tablespoons Almond Butter/Cashew Butter/Pecan Butter (I forgot this in my original post and just remembered this was in the original recipe I did)

Combine all dry ingredients then add wet ingredients and mix well. Add the Cacao Nibs and Chocolate chips at the end. Preheat the oven to 375. Use Unbleached Baking cups (really any baking cups will do) put the batter into the cups so they are filled halfway. Put in the oven for about 30 minutes checking in 20 minutes with a toothpick.

These are my favorite and perfect for the fall! Enjoy!
